Kim Farrant is a director with dramatic features, numerous shorts and episodic network television as well as documentaries to her credit. Kim’s debut film, a psychological thriller Strangerland (starred Nicole Kidman, Hugo Weaving and Joseph Fiennes), premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Grand Jury prize. In Australia, the film opened at the Sydney Film Festival.

Kim is currently in post-production on her second feature, the drama thriller Angel of Mine, written by Luke Davies (Lion, Catch 22) and David Regal and starring Noomi Rapace, Yvonne Strahovski and Luke Evans. The film is produced by Su Armstrong (Good Will Hunting) and the Etting Brothers.

Kim is also developing a number of other features including: The Executor with Isabelle Huppert starring, produced by Alexandra Milchan (The Wolf of Wall Street); Random written by Dylan Gary (Tell Me You Love Me) to be produced by Kim Zubick (The Zookeeper’s Wife) with Noomi Rapace starring; and, Hush Money for Michael Winterbottom’s Revolution Films. In addition, Kim has a returning one hour television series currently titled Primal, written by Andy Parker (Imposters), co-created by Kim and Andy and developed at Anonymous Content with David Kanter (The Reverent) producing.

Kim’s other directing work includes the action procedural Rush (Endemol/Ten), short filmsBetween Me and Bombshell, and the television documentaries The Secret Side of Me(SBS) and Out of the Saddle. Her first feature documentary, the critically acclaimed Naked on the Inside, is based on the premise “who are we beyond clothes and skin?”. The film was a finalist at Sydney Film Festival and was nominated for the Film Critics Circle of Australia award for Best Documentary and has sold globally.
